VT Engineering was hired to provide a detailed EV Ready Plan and complete set of detailed design drawings for a large apartment building in Vancouver off Kingsway. While the building wasn’t very old, built in 2015, it required major upgrades to accommodate Level 2 EV charging for all owners and the 398 parking stalls. A comprehensive review of the existing electrical distribution and unit-substation equipment was performed. A new main distribution section had to be added for the large EV service along with additional transformers, distribution panels, breaker panels, and more.
