BC Hydro is upgrading their primary distribution voltage to 25kV, and many old transformers and unit-substations will need to be upgraded to accommodate the new voltage. This project consisted of two BCH Electrical Vaults powering an entire downtown city block. VT Engineering performed detailed site inspections exploring the existing distribution, equipment, ratings, and best possible solutions on how to upgrade the existing equipment and small electrical rooms to accommodate a new unit-substation.
